Neurology Care Department

Neurology is the branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. Neurologists are medical doctors who specialize in this field.

  • Stroke: Disruption of blood flow to the brain, causing brain damage.
  • Epilepsy: A disorder characterized by recurrent seizures.
  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS): A chronic illness involving damage to the myelin sheath of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
  • Parkinson's Disease: A degenerative disorder affecting movement, often including tremors.
  • Alzheimer's Disease: A progressive disorder causing dementia and cognitive decline.
  • Migraines and Headaches: Severe headaches with or without accompanying neurological symptoms.

  • Peripheral Neuropathy: Damage to the peripheral nerves causing weakness, numbness, and pain.
  • Guillain-Barré Syndrome: A rare disorder in which the body's immune system attacks the nerves.

  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS): Also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, it affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing loss of muscle control.
  • Huntington's Disease: A genetic disorder causing the progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain.

  • Meningitis: Inflammation of the protective membranes covering the brain and spinal cord.
  • Encephalitis: Inflammation of the brain tissue.
  • Brain Abscess: A collection of pus caused by an infection in the brain.

  • Myasthenia Gravis: An autoimmune disorder that causes weakness in the skeletal muscles.
  • Muscular Dystrophy: A group of diseases causing progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass.

  • Cerebral Palsy: A group of disorders affecting movement and muscle tone or posture, caused by damage to the developing brain.
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD): Developmental disorders affecting communication and behavior.

Neuro Specilist
